Job Opportunity: Engineering Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Tutor to join our team at the LTE Group. As an Engineering Tutor, you will play a vital role in coaching, mentoring, and assessing students to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for their apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality coaching and mentoring sessions to students in both classroom and workshop environments.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners, conducting regular learner interventions to ensure their progress and achievement.
  • Ensure evidence of learning, achievement, and funding is captured effectively and timely, including 20% OJT requirements and learner progress.
  • Plan and deliver individualized learning programs, incorporating maths and English, to support learners' achievement and progress.
  • Engage with learners' line managers, providing support, guidance, and opportunities for learning.
  • Plan and deliver end-point assessments, ensuring preparation and practice are included in the learning plan.
  • Inspire and motivate learners, identifying barriers and adapting to their needs.
  • Deliver maths and English, as well as ICT where applicable, to support learners' achievement and progress.
  • Ensure accurate and timely marking and feedback to learners, supporting their development.
  • Work closely with IQAs on best practice, development needs, and sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employers, ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager, based on your KPIs.
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality learning materials.
Requirements:
  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners' needs.
  • Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning.
  • Ability to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritized plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
  • Proactively drive learner performance and engagement.
  • To be customer-focused, having the ability to present the LTE Group in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary, seeks continuous improvement - seeks to improve processes and implement and embed changes.
