Job Title: Methods & Digital Integration Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Methods & Digital Integration Specialist to join our Aircraft Systems Integration (ASI) team at Leonardo. As a key member of our engineering function, you will apply Agile techniques to coordinate dedicated scrum teams and provide technical subject expertise for engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise for design, analysis, assessment, testing, modeling, simulation, and qualification of aircraft and software.
  • Develop and maintain the skills, methods, tools, processes, and practices required to improve tasks in your area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to the development of physics-based modeling approaches used in engineering design and analysis.
  • Apply specialist expertise to develop data-driven AI surrogate models starting from numerical analysis and/or experimental data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and geographical teams to support the development of engineering design and analysis.
  • Perform engineering tests that comply with required processes and procedures.
  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation within agreed formats.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science in a relevant engineering field.
  • Basic knowledge of physics-based modeling approaches used in engineering design and analysis.
  • Working understanding of AI, particularly the application of Neural Networks to engineering problems.
  • Proficiency in computer programming, specifically Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of aircraft design and helicopter mechanics.
  • Understanding of process development and optimization.
