About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating cost and risk on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the division of projects into component work packages for procurement, assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
  • Negotiate with sub-contractor supply chains to achieve best value.
  • Manage applications for payment from sub-contractors, preparation of applications for payment to clients.
  • Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports).
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in quantity surveying.
  • Prior quantity surveying experience gained within the main contractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of delivering under NEC / JCT Contract conditions.
  • Confidence in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.
