Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Site Maintenance Technician to join our team at Proactive Personnel Ltd. The primary responsibility of this role involves enhancing the fire safety systems within a large storage structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Upgrade the fire protection systems on a 25-meter tall storage sphere, which is currently scaffolded and enclosed.
  2. Implement an insulation system using slabs approximately 450mm x 300mm, weighing around 1.5kg each, which will be affixed to the sphere using a specialized adhesive applied with a notched trowel.
  3. Install a chicken wire mesh over the insulation, securing it with tie wires for added stability.
  4. Apply the new fire protection system using a spray method, which includes trowelling and rolling techniques similar to painting.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all phases of the project, including material handling and housekeeping duties.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a valid safety passport, such as CCNSG or EMSS, or an equivalent IOSH certification.

Work Environment: The role involves a 5-hour work shift with a non-paid meal break. Facilities include a welfare cabin equipped with lockers for personal protective equipment, seating areas, and kitchen amenities such as a fridge, toaster, water dispenser, and microwave.
