About the Role
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist Specialist to join our Inpatient team therapy team at RSH. This post holder will work clinically on our Oncology ward at RSH, supporting a Band 5 Physiotherapist and collaborating with a Band 6 Occupational Therapist.
Main Responsibilities
- Treat Oncology patients on Ward 23, including rehabilitation and discharge planning which may be complex.
- Participate in the in-service training rota and clinical supervision of both therapy staff and students.
- Participate in the weekend respiratory, orthopaedic, and discharge rotas, as well as the on-call respiratory out-of-hours service.
About the Team
The team is committed to providing high-quality care to patients, and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Physiotherapist Specialist to join us. The post holder will work closely with the Macmillan Integrated Therapy Team to provide expert Oncology knowledge and advice to Therapy colleagues within the wider Inpatient team.
Requirements
- Qualified Physiotherapist with a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of specialist clinical training in relevant areas.
- Experience of working within the NHS, including experience of supervising junior and non-qualified staff.
- Experience of active participation in on-call out-of-hours working.
