Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Operative to join our team at our Market Drayton site. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing machinery, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with laid-down procedures
  • Contribute to a proactive approach to health and safety
  • Cooperate with the employer to fulfill statutory duties
  • Meet operational line and plant targets, including waste targets
  • Minimize machine and plant downtime
  • Maintain the hygienic standards of the production environment and general housekeeping of the working area
  • Carry out basic routine maintenance (mechanical aptitude is essential)
  • Strive to achieve the highest quality product, highlighting any concerns to your manager
  • Prompt fault finding and timely corrective action or escalation
Requirements
  • Relevant food manufacturing qualification or experience
  • Basic Food Hygiene certification
  • Relevant Health and Safety knowledge or training
  • Mechanical handling equipment experience
  • Technical processing plant or machine knowledge
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Good mechanical aptitude (essential)
