About the Role
GAP Hire Solutions is a leading provider of plant and tool hire across the UK, serving various sectors including construction, utilities, and infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regional HGV Driver to join our Plant and Tool division.
Your Responsibilities
- Transporting plant and equipment efficiently throughout your assigned region.
- Providing support across the region, covering absences and peak periods.
- Ensuring safe loading and unloading of vehicles, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Training existing HGV Drivers on safe loading and unloading procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience driving an HGV, specifically in the transportation of heavy plant equipment.
- A valid Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed, and a valid Digital Tachograph card.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail.
