About Us

Swallowfield Medical Practice is a forward-thinking, semi-rural, dispensing General Medical Services (GMS) practice located in a picturesque area. We are part of the Wokingham South Primary Care Network (PCN) and aim to provide excellent care for our patients while maintaining a strong team ethos and supportive working environment.

Our Team

We have a diverse team of clinicians, including five full-time GP Partners, three salaried GPs, and one long-term locum GP. Our Acute Illness Team is overseen by a daily Duty Doctor and supported by three paramedic practitioners, a Mental Health Practitioner, and our MSK team. We also have a pharmacist, a social prescriber, three practice nurses, two Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), and two phlebotomists, as well as a dedicated reception, administration, and dispensary team.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an energetic and hardworking salaried GP to join our team, complementing our established team of clinicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our practice.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be a registered GP with a licence to practise, possessing excellent clinical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with IT systems. They will be dependable, able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate the confidence and credibility to work with a range of professionals and patients.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience, as well as six weeks' annual leave and one week's study leave. Our practice is equipped with an EMIS web system and Docman 10, and we provide indemnity with the Medical Defence Union (MDU) paid for.
