Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned solicitor or lawyer with extensive experience in conflicts and compliance to join our General Counsel & Risk function. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and provide strategic advice on legal and regulatory risks associated with both new and existing business initiatives.
2. Offer senior-level counsel to partners and management regarding conflicts and compliance matters.
3. Assist in making complex risk-related decisions concerning conflicts, considering various ethical frameworks applicable across regions.
4. Stay informed about regulatory developments impacting our business operations.
5. Review and monitor the language used in our standard engagement letters to ensure compliance.
6. Play a significant role in the ongoing enhancement and management of our global reputational risk processes.
7. Collaborate on firm-wide projects that require risk and compliance insights.
8. Provide daily ad hoc advice on conflicts and regulatory risks to the firm.
9. Promote a culture of risk management throughout the organization, including facilitating training sessions for various teams.

Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor, REL, RFL, or Barrister with credentials from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, or the United States.
- 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in an international law firm or in-house legal department focusing on regulatory or general counsel functions.
- Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound judgment in risk-based decision-making.
- Strong experience in advising on conflicts and compliance issues.
- Familiarity with English professional conduct standards.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to think critically and navigate challenges under pressure while balancing legal obligations with business objectives.
