Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide strong clinical leadership and expertise to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Hold a caseload and manage regular follow-up and assessment clinics.
  • Work closely with the medical team to ensure effective patient flow and discharge management.
  • Build strong links with primary care colleagues and secondary care services to ensure effective pathways are in place.
  • Provide training relating to perinatal mental health for other disciplines.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Evidence of post-registration additional training.
  • Significant experience of community mental health.
  • Evidence of improving service quality.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • First Degree level, Independent prescriber.
  • Experience of leading on audit and/or research activity related to clinical practice.
  • Significant experience in perinatal mental health.
