About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Bunker. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality electrical distribution systems for our clients in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the electronics systems team to design and develop electrical distribution systems that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Carry out continuous development of existing designs to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and release harness manufacturing data using VeSys.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to agree on feasible manufacturing solutions and control the engineering change process.
  • Develop high-quality, cost-effective interconnect systems in collaboration with electronics system designers.
  • Help define interface requirements for subsystems and components.
  • Assist in developing a preferred connector strategy.
  • Complete design verification and function sign-off in line with project deadlines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical systems development in the automotive industry or with an OEM or tier 1 supplier.
  • Experience in electrical integration and fault-finding.
  • Good understanding of CAD and CAE literacy, including Catia V5 and engineering design knowledge.
  • Practical experience in harness building.
  • Understanding of the importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management.
  • IDLR/Full Rights to Work in the UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/provided.
