Workshop Assistant Job Description

Noble Recruiting is seeking a skilled Workshop Assistant to join their team in the Canvey Island area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the workshop, liaising with refuse crews and suppliers.
  • Complete routine checks on vehicles, plant, and equipment.
  • Clean vehicles and equipment inside and out.
  • Perform driving duties, including recovery, collection, and delivery.
  • Attend to breakdowns, carrying out roadside repairs.
  • Assist in scheduling repairs and ordering.
  • Complete all relevant documentation.
  • Carry out mechanical fitting, wheel, and tyre changes.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and servicing.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class 2/HGV driving licence.
  • Previous mechanical skills or knowledge.
  • UK residency and the right to work in the UK.
  • Previous mechanical fitting experience.
