About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Consultant to join our team at Agricultural and Farming Jobs Agency. As a Sales and Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our client base in the agricultural and farming industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaising with New Clients: You will be responsible for building relationships with new clients who require our recruitment services and selling online job advertising space on our niche jobs board to both existing and new clients within our specific sectors.
  2. Generating New Business Leads: You will be expected to make a number of quality calls per day to our established database of companies and structure your working day and week accordingly to achieve your daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  3. Sales and Account Management: You will generate new client leads, follow up on leads, provide quotes and recruitment proposals, deliver presentations to other businesses, negotiate packages and terms of business where required, and secure new business sales.
  4. Client Meetings and Account Management: You will arrange and attend new client meetings, via video and occasionally face-to-face, across the UK.
  5. Client Relationship Management: You may be required to visit and account manage your contracted long-term client accounts when possible.
  6. Understanding of Recruitment Brand: You will gain a comprehensive understanding of our recruitment brand and the range of services we offer.
  7. Job Advert Management: You will ensure that once sales are secured, all job adverts are shared in a quality and timely manner.
  8. Process Review and Improvement: You will manage the ongoing review of the sales process and be encouraged to offer suggested improvements to the MD.
  9. Innovative Ideas: You will develop innovative and creative ideas to support the ongoing increase in sales.
  10. Confidence and Motivation: You will be positively confident, self-motivated, and driven to meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets consistently.
  11. Results Management: You will meticulously manage your own sales Excel sheets, taking ownership of your results and success.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced sales consultant and sales professional who is happy to confidently speak to decision makers at all levels.

  1. Experience in Sales: You must have over 3 years of experience in a sales environment and a proven track record of sales success.
  2. Comfortable Working in a Fast-Paced Environment: You must be comfortable working at all levels in a fast-paced and demanding sales environment.
  3. Senior Level Sales Experience: Senior level sales experience in new business sales and account management experience is essential.
  4. Proven Track Record of Sales Success: You will have a proven track record of successfully hitting sales targets and growing a client base.
  5. Entrepreneurial Personality: You must have an entrepreneurial personality, someone who owns their accounts proudly.
  6. Understanding of Recruitment Sales: Ideally, you will have an excellent understanding of recruitment sales and/or job advertising sales.
  7. New Business Development Skills: Strong new business development skills with a tenacious approach to identify new leads and closing sales.
  8. Presentation and Communication Skills: Must be well presented with a pleasant, friendly, and confident telephone manner.
  9. IT Literacy: Must be IT literate and used to inputting quality precise and up-to-date information into a CRM database.
  10. Travel and Industry Events: Must be able and willing to travel to industry shows and events.
  11. Personal Branding: Confidence within building your personal branding on LinkedIn would be beneficial.
