About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research and Enterprise Office at the University of Essex for a highly motivated and proactive Research Support Administrator to work as part of an expanding team delivering a high-quality Pre-Award support service to the University's academic community involved in research grant application activity.
Key Responsibilities
A key part of this role involves the preparation of financial information for inclusion in research grant and contract applications to external funders of research. This includes:
- Preparing detailed budgets and financial control
- Developing and maintaining accurate financial records
- Collaborating with academic staff to ensure grant applications meet funder requirements
Requirements and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- A high level of numeracy and experience in financial administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
