About the Role

The Crown Prosecution Service is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Crown Prosecutor to join our team. As a Senior Crown Prosecutor, you will play a critical role in delivering justice through the effective prosecution of crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver justice in complex and challenging cases, including fraud, firearms, public order, and corporate manslaughter
  • Review evidence and charging decisions for cases appearing in the magistrates' and Crown Court
  • Provide legal advice and explain decisions to criminal justice partners and victims of crime
  • Maintain public confidence in our work through effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • Qualified barristers and solicitors with extensive knowledge of criminal law
  • Sound legal judgment and ability to present cases clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Commitment to public service, focus on continuous learning, and understanding of our role within the criminal justice system
