The Crown Prosecution Service is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Crown Prosecutor to join our team. As a Senior Crown Prosecutor, you will play a critical role in delivering justice through the effective prosecution of crime.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver justice in complex and challenging cases, including fraud, firearms, public order, and corporate manslaughter
- Review evidence and charging decisions for cases appearing in the magistrates' and Crown Court
- Provide legal advice and explain decisions to criminal justice partners and victims of crime
- Maintain public confidence in our work through effective communication and collaboration
- Qualified barristers and solicitors with extensive knowledge of criminal law
- Sound legal judgment and ability to present cases clearly, verbally and in writing
- Commitment to public service, focus on continuous learning, and understanding of our role within the criminal justice system
