The Weighbridge Coordinator plays a crucial role in the transportation department, engaging with drivers and the broader team consistently to guarantee exceptional service delivery to our clients.

The role involves overseeing the efficient operation of the weighbridge facility, serving as the primary point of contact for all personnel and contractors.

Your working hours will be

Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of

£11.44 per hour.

Flexibility to cover the 24-hour operational hours during periods of absence is required. Overtime opportunities are available upon arrangement, and unsociable hours are compensated between 18:00-06:00. Enjoy 25 days of annual leave (in addition to public holidays).

Key Responsibilities:
Manage essential weighbridge operations, including barriers and weighing systems.

Verify that all site visitors possess the necessary permissions, training, and inductions before entering the premises.

Conduct inductions and provide site regulations and instructions as needed.

Guide visitors to their designated locations and relevant stakeholders on-site.

Maintain communication with the yard, warehouse, traffic office, and customers as required.


Utilize various IT systems effectively in the execution of your duties, including Excel, SAP, XPO IT systems, and the Microsoft Office suite.

Ensure adherence to company health and safety protocols, addressing unsafe practices and reporting any concerns to management.

Maintain high hygiene standards.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Responsibilities:
Engage in Care Cards, BSafe, Safety Conversations, etc.

Identify and communicate potential improvement opportunities to management.

Exemplify the Company Values.

Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned.

Consistently uphold the highest standards of customer service.

Qualifications for Success at XPO:
Prior administrative experience, preferably in a logistics setting.

A proactive and positive attitude.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
