Job Summary

Blaymires Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day management of a team of trade operatives in a social housing maintenance and repairs environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that repairs are undertaken in an efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing the team's resources and adhering to Health & Safety policies and statutory legislation.
  • Be responsible for the safety and welfare of direct labor and sub-contractors on site, including ensuring safe working practices and procedures are fully implemented and documented.
  • Manage and assist with the training and development of your team through tool box talks, coaching, and other methods.
  • Conduct pre-work inspections as required.
  • Provide technical advice, support, and guidance to operatives and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Conduct quality assessments and provide instructions to rectify any snagging, defects, and/or uncompleted works.
  • Liaise with tenants regarding the scope of service provision and resolve issues/manage expectations.
  • Liaise with clients and the CDM Co-ordinator to provide works updates and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Trade background.
  • Awareness of CDM regulations and H&S Training.
  • SSSTS desirable but not essential.
  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Strong decision-making/problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to implement fully company policies and processes.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excel/Outlook skills - ability to extract data and use it.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of costs.
  • Clean driving license.
