Job Summary:

Interact Consulting Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server DBA to join our IT Systems Integration team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of our SQL Server infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement T-SQL solutions to enhance database performance and security.
  • Collaborate with IT Development teams and Production DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve production system issues.
  • Work closely with the Infrastructure & Architecture team to design and implement SQL Server solutions.
  • Own and manage SQL performance enhancement projects for the group.
  • Develop and maintain in-house application architecture documentation.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to resolve bespoke system issues.
  • Enforce group security controls and best practices.
  • Document and implement all SQL configuration changes.
  • Assist DBAs with SQL-related issues.
  • Develop data collection processes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Development best practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of SQL Developer experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft SQL Server stack (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS).
  • SQL Server clustering experience.
  • Exposure to automation deployment tools such as Azure DevOps and OctopusDeploy.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-on, HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) environment.
