Senior Manager, Liberty Procurement Services Corporate Strategy

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead Liberty Procurement Services' Corporate Strategy in London, UK. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic direction of LPS by supporting corporate planning, identifying growth opportunities, and driving development initiatives. Experience in strategic consulting or corporate strategy departments within professional services or blue-chip in-house procurement groups is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and refine the LPS overall strategic plan, aligning it with business goals and objectives. Collaborate with the LPS management team and broader LG/LFS SMEs to define the strategic direction and identify growth opportunities.
  2. Strategic Projects: Deliver LPS strategic projects, such as market feasibility, regulatory/compliance impact assessment, and operating model projects.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on the procurement-as-a-service market to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential risks. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and other anticipated changes that may impact LPS strategy.
  4. Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive intelligence activities to monitor competitors' strategies, proposition offerings, pricing models, and market positioning.
  5. Partner Management: Engage with key partners, both internal and external, to communicate the LPS strategic vision and progress and solicit feedback. Build strong relationships to gain support for critical initiatives and ensure alignment with LPS business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree/qualification is desirable.

Desirable Skills:
  1. Proven experience in strategic consulting or corporate strategy departments within professional services or blue-chip in-house procurement groups.
  2. Excellent knowledge of procurement services market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  3. Deep understanding and interest in procurement technology landscape and its impact on the future of procurement.
  4. High level of business acumen, with a broad understanding of procurement and financial principles and metrics.
  5. Proficiency in using analytical tools, market research techniques, financial modelling, and business case development.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
