Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatry department within a Mental Health facility. This role focuses on General Adult Psychiatry in a community setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and reviews of patients.
  • Supervise and support SAS Doctors in their clinical duties.
  • Manage and prescribe treatment for an existing caseload.
  • Engage in Mental Health Act responsibilities, ensuring availability for urgent patient consultations.
  • Oversee a limited number of patients under Community Treatment Orders (CTO).

Work Schedule: This position operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements: Candidates must possess Section 12 and AC status.

This role is essential in maintaining continuity of care during the transition period until a new Consultant is appointed.
