Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Equals One Ltd. in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of our plant, ensuring compliance with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems, and providing reactive breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute all activities safely and professionally, adhering to legislative and company Health and Safety policies/procedures.
  2. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive repairs, and statutory checks on electrical and mechanical systems, working collaboratively within the Maintenance Team to minimise machinery downtime.
  3. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with a cross-discipline team to identify and implement permanent solutions to faults.
  4. Engage in Continuous Improvement projects to enhance safety standards, quality, and machine availability.
  5. Undertake repairs on site facilities as necessary to maintain standards.
  6. Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to document work completed and minimise fault occurrences.
Requirements:
  1. Proficiency in fault finding on various control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC motors, Drives/frequency inverters, and relay logic.
  2. Completion of a time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  3. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is desirable.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, non-contractual monthly bonus up to £400 per month, and a continental shift pattern with 2 days/2 nights and 4 days off.

Our client is seeking an electrically biased multi-skilled Engineer to oversee the Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of their plant at their Bradford site. This role includes ensuring compliance with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems, offering reactive breakdown support, conducting site facility repairs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and engaging in project work.

Accountabilities but not limited to:

Planning & Organising

  1. To plan maintenance tasks and prioritise jobs and workload in conjunction with the Shift Controller.

Internal & External Relationships

  1. Will have daily contact with Shift Managers, Maintenance Engineers and contractors.

Knowledge:

  1. Proficiency in fault finding on various control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC motors, Drives/frequency inverters, and relay logic.
  2. Completion of a time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  3. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is desirable.

Skills & Experience:

  1. NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production maintenance environment with a multi-skilled approach.
