About the Role

Drax Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Daldowie Treatment Works, a leading plant in Europe. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, performing essential maintenance tasks to optimize plant effectiveness and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Work collaboratively with the Mechanical Maintenance Team to achieve maintenance goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company policies
Requirements
  • Relevant technical grounding from an apprenticeship and/or ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance within heavy or process industries
  • Good understanding of relevant health and safety and statutory legislation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
