Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Project Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our engineering function, you will work closely with a wider team of specialists to deliver projects for key clients. Your expertise in structural engineering design and relevant software will be essential in crafting innovative solutions and ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering specialists to run projects for key clients, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions, working closely with other disciplines to coordinate project delivery.
  • Manage and review documents and drawings to ensure quality and compliance, meeting client requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with project progress.

Requirements

  • Proven background in structural engineering design and relevant software, covering steel, concrete, timber, and other materials.
  • Ability to lead projects for new builds and updates to existing structures, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Previous experience in team leadership, mentoring junior staff, and reviewing work is highly desirable.
  • Ability to assess buildings and prepare SERs/calculation packages.
