Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a SEND Assessment and Monitoring Officer. As a key member of our SEND Assessment & Review Service, you will play a critical role in ensuring that children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive appropriate support and services to meet their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team responsible for the statutory EHC Needs Assessment and monitoring of support for children and young people.
- Act as a caseworker for children and young people with complex and significant needs, collaborating with young people, parents/carers, education, health, social care, and service providers.
- Oversee the assessment and planning of needs assessments, ensuring positive outcomes and preparation for adulthood.
Requirements:
- Successful relevant experience of working in SEND and SEND casework.
- Previous experience of working in Local Government or similar organisation.
- Experience of staff management and leadership.
