Butchery Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Butcher at Pilgrim's Europe. As a Trainee Butcher, you will play a vital role in our Butchery Department, working closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards, meeting production deadlines and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Deboning and trimming meat to required customer specifications, with training provided to develop your skills.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures on food safety and hygiene, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) provided, adhering to Company guidelines.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned to meet business needs, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food production environment is desirable, but not essential, as we offer a comprehensive training and upskilling program.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills in semi-skilled/trainee roles, with a focus on gaining new expertise.
• Excellent communication and reliability skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction, with a focus on quality and service excellence.

The successful candidate will work a regular shift pattern across a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, with actual times varying slightly depending on production line requirements.
