Role Overview:
This position encompasses a blend of personnel management, capability enhancement, and technical leadership. The primary objective is to ensure that our team receives clear guidance and support, enabling successful project delivery. The Manager is responsible for providing practical assistance and proactively developing solutions or improvement strategies to help team members meet established standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and account teams to effectively transition projects into the organization.
- Oversee a team of application support engineers across multiple high-profile accounts, setting objectives and establishing development plans.
- Define the scope of engagements with clients.
- Develop a versatile delivery capability, ensuring all assigned engineers possess the necessary skills and knowledge to operate across various secure accounts.
- Work alongside leadership to identify and meet resource demands.
- Engage with account and service line leaders to facilitate account growth.
- Monitor the progress of transitions and delivery, directing daily activities as needed to keep projects on track.
- Assist in recruitment, development, cost management, and strategic direction within the area of responsibility.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports and, when necessary, to other team members. Manage performance reviews for employees.
- Advise management and peers on significant matters related to the area of responsibility.
- Influence strategic direction and assign responsibilities, offering leadership and support to enable team members to achieve their objectives.
- Create a work environment that promotes individual growth, high performance, and diversity.
- Establish and maintain relationships with client subject matter experts and management to foster business development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven delivery leadership capabilities.
- Experience in workforce management and development.
- Strong skills in escalation management and customer relationship building.
- Familiarity with corporate capabilities and outsourcing industry standards.
- Competence in business analysis and planning.
- General financial management and cost management skills.
- In-depth understanding of relevant technologies.
- General knowledge of related technologies.
- Understanding of application development processes.
Technical Experience:
- Experience with both WINTEL and UNIX operating systems.
- Proficiency in shell scripting.
- Familiarity with UNIX editing tools.
- Experience in updating and executing Windows batch files.
- Knowledge of ORACLE WebLogic and ORACLE FUSION.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO20000 standards.
