About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team at Mencap, a leading provider of support services for people with a learning disability. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, and happy life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding support to individuals with a learning disability, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their community.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, showering, and using the bathroom, as well as supporting individuals with medication and daily living tasks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the people we support, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of each person are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service that is responsive to the needs of the people we support.
