The Role

Are you eager to enhance your mechanical expertise while maintaining industrial machinery in a large-scale quarry environment?

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to become part of our extensive engineering team. You will be stationed at our prominent quarry site, where you will receive guidance from experienced engineers to develop your skills in this specialized field.

As a member of our Day Shift team, you will gain practical experience in our dedicated workshop while also responding to urgent breakdowns within the quarry. Your work schedule will consist of a 4on 4off rotation, with shifts running from 05:00-17:00 and 10:30-22:30. Weekend shifts will have adjusted hours to accommodate operational needs.

Your responsibilities will include conducting both reactive and preventive maintenance on various machinery, including Crushers, Screeners, and conveyor systems, with a primary focus on the conveyor uphill system capable of handling significant tonnages, alongside other processing and handling equipment.

Health and Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to perform all repairs in a safe manner, contributing to a hazard-free workplace.

Who You Are

You are pursuing a career in engineering and possess hands-on experience as a mechanic, assembly technician, or in a manufacturing environment.

A Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance or a Mechanical Discipline is essential.

You are enthusiastic about learning and keen to enhance your existing skills.
