Role Overview
Our Mechanical & Electrical division is experiencing significant growth, and we are in search of a skilled Mechanical Project Coordinator to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing design and build projects valued up to £2 million, encompassing both new constructions and renovation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the entire project lifecycle from design through to completion.
  • Conducting site surveys and preparing estimates.
  • Engaging with clients and resolving any disputes that may arise.
  • Collaborating with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Formulating project plans, including the development of project timelines.
  • Preparing progress reports and commercial documentation.
  • Managing purchase orders and supplier requisitions.
  • Evaluating project value and ensuring compliance.
  • Handling contract variations and securing site instructions.
  • Submitting technical documents and maintaining updated registers.
  • Implementing value engineering strategies.
  • Preparing procurement schedules.
  • Participating in project meetings, documenting minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Managing invoicing and payment applications.
  • Overseeing subcontractor and supplier payments, including payment certifications.
  • Controlling project costs and managing expenditure.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in contracting and project management. Required qualifications include:

  • OND/HND/DEGREE in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification or a demonstrated history of successful project delivery.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
  • CSCS Card Holder.
  • A valid UK driving license.
