About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at Nationwide Platforms. As a key member of our workshop operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our powered access equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Workshop Service Manager in the effective running of the depot workshop, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at the depot, adhering to manufacturer specifications, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Repair machines at the depot or on-site as required, maintaining conformance with manufacturer specifications and company policies.
  • Complete planned maintenance activities, including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standards.
  • Handover machines to customers, providing comprehensive training on safe machine operation and ensuring a high standard of customer care.
  • Act as an ambassador for Nationwide Platforms, promoting excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, including engineer's reports, off-hire documents, and service sheets.
  • Update systems on machine status changes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
  • Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding.
  • Mature outlook and ability to prioritize tasks, working well under pressure.
  • Understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
