About the Role

We are seeking 3 enthusiastic Assistant Psychologists to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a successful bid for funding from Health Education England, we are committed to increasing diversity within clinical psychology.

This is an exciting opportunity for psychology graduates to gain valuable and relevant professional experience, supporting career progression in the psychological professions. You will work with multidisciplinary teams under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, offering psychological assessment, psychological/psychosocial interventions, and working independently according to a plan agreed with qualified staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret neuropsychological assessments, or be a quick learner when it comes to picking up such skills under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
  • Have strong organisational, time management, and professional communication/writing skills.
  • Bring a positive and flexible approach to your work.
  • Work full-time, Monday to Friday, and travel between multiple sites, attending meetings across Kent, and where necessary, undertaking home visits in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Be a psychology graduate eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Have a positive attitude towards ageing and older age and towards those who are living with dementia.
