About the Role

The Site Supervisor is a key member of the Fawkes & Reece (North) team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of civil engineering projects in the Cambridge area. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing tasks to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of the work programme to the client, ensuring timely completion, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conducting weekly site inspections and submitting associated paperwork to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Managing sub-contractors and site visitors, ensuring their safety and well-being during works.
  • Delivering toolbox talk training sessions and completing associated paperwork to promote a culture of safety and quality.
Health and Safety
  • Ensuring all works are carried out safely, in accordance with the company's SHE Management system, and do not pose a danger to workers, sub-contractors, site visitors, or members of the public.
  • Complying with site safety rules and the company's Health and Safety Policies and Standards.
  • Ensuring all sites are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
  • Ensuring all vehicle and plant checks are completed daily and before the vehicle/item of plant is used during that shift.
Requirements
  • CSCS Supervisor Card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • NRSWA Accreditation
  • CPCS training in Excavators/Dumpers/Rollers and/or HIAB
  • Experience in Drainage/Earthworks/Road Construction
  • Conversant with CDM/Principal Contractor duties
  • ITP Quality Checks
  • CAT & Genny
  • First Aid Certification
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
