AR Resourcing is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Livingston. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering the commercial requirements of regional new build construction projects covering the education and healthcare sectors.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver Commercial Activities: Manage day-to-day commercial activities, including measurement and valuation of works in progress, pricing variations, design cost control, and value engineering.
- Subcontract Management: Prepare draft subcontracts and manage the ongoing performance of subcontractors, highlighting any issues to senior staff.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Assist with the compilation of data to be presented in monthly and quarterly reports to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Team Supervision: Supervise junior commercial staff, mentoring them and aiding their commercial development.
- Client and Stakeholder Interface: Interface with clients and senior internal stakeholders, attending meetings to discuss project progress and interacting with operational site teams.
- Final Account Settlement: Participate in the settlement of main contract final accounts.

- Majority of the projects fall within the education sector, delivering new schools and higher education facilities. Other projects fall within healthcare.
- The role will involve a combination of office-based work and weekly site visits across the region.
- Our client is looking for Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.
- You will have a minimum of 5 years' commercial experience, assisting with the delivery of new build and/or construction projects.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of managing NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
- Strong experience of procuring and managing subcontracts, and an ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors.
- Relevant quantity surveying degree.
