New Directions Holding is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team of educational professionals in Swansea and Llanelli.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs, providing individualized support and fostering their academic and personal growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers and educational specialists to implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Provide in-class and individual assistance, guiding students through learning activities and ensuring their active participation.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining student records and preparing learning materials.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by fostering a collaborative and nurturing learning community.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Relevant experience working with children or a background in care/social work.
  • Registration with the EWC in the appropriate category.
  • An enhanced Child Only DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through New Directions Holding.

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Physical Disabilities (PD).
