Reliability Engineer - Mechanical

Supersede Recruitment Partners is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a leading food manufacturer in the Uttoxeter area.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with a passion for reliability and improvements to join a large engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical understanding and appreciation, with experience in carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) in a factory setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the performance of plant and equipment, including reactive and PPM work
  • Establish root cause analysis (RCA) throughout the factory
  • Implement short and long-term fixes for breakdowns
  • Provide a high-quality engineering service to both engineering and production teams
  • Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged and monitor repair times to find new methods to reduce them
  • Train production staff
Requirements
  • Experience in the food, FMCG, or manufacturing industry with good PPM experience
  • Multiskilled with a mechanical bias
  • Strong mechanical understanding and appreciation
  • A passion for reliability and improvements

Full training is offered, and experience in this field is not necessary. What is required is an interest in reliability and improvements.
