Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative solutions to challenging seismic processing and imaging problems, leveraging expertise in computational physics and numerical simulation.
- Collaborate with a talented team of researchers and developers to share knowledge and drive innovation.
- Design and implement complex geophysical software, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
- Test, maintain, and inspect software, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
- Contribute to the development of technical papers and documentation, showcasing expertise and knowledge.
- Present research findings at industry conferences, sharing insights and expertise.
- Provide technical support to internal users, ensuring seamless integration of software solutions.
- Undertake special assignments and projects, driving innovation and growth.
- Comply with company regulations and policies, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Physics, Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
- Experience in researching and developing seismic processing and imaging/inversion techniques.
- Experience in computational physics, finite difference methods, and numerical simulation.
- Experience with seismic processing and imaging software, with a strong understanding of inverse methods.
- Coding experience in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of high-performance computing concepts, including MPI, multi-threading, and GPU programming.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international team.
- A strong drive to innovate and a passion for geophysical research.
