The ideal candidate will operate in a field-based role and must possess a valid driving license.

As a Lead Service Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Industrial, Commercial, and Residential Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps.
  • Executing service and upkeep tasks related to commercial systems.
  • Ensuring all work-related documentation is completed accurately and submitted punctually.
  • Resolving on-site challenges utilizing your expertise and experience.
  • Performing duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations and protocols.
  • Engaging in regular training and development assessments.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours rota, with compensation for on-call duties and call-outs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications for the Lead Service Engineer position:

  • Familiarity with Commercial and Industrial Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps (preferred).
  • Experience in diagnosing issues within heating systems.
  • NVQ/C&G qualifications or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating.
  • FGAS certification (beneficial).
  • Prior experience in installing, servicing, or commissioning heating systems.
  • A multi-skilled engineer with recognized mechanical and/or electrical qualifications.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC control systems.
  • Understanding of heating systems along with associated pumps, valves, and safety standards.
  • Electrical troubleshooting capabilities to board/component level (advantageous).
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair expertise.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

The successful Lead Service Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining renewable energy systems.
