Job Opportunity: SEN Tutor

TeacherActive is seeking a skilled SEN Tutor to join our team in the South East London area. As a SEN Tutor, you will work with pupils who have SEMH and ASD needs, providing one-to-one or small group support in various settings, including education institutions and community venues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored educational support to pupils with SEMH and ASD needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide emotional support and build trusting relationships with pupils and their families
  • Utilize creative and bespoke approaches to differentiate curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in SEN education
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or prior experience working with pupils with SEND
  • Excellent KS3/KS4 curriculum knowledge and ability to adapt to various learning environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring attitude and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility in terms of working patterns and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
