Senior Computer Vision Engineer / Team Lead

Our goal is to innovate and automate the delivery landscape, alleviate traffic congestion and reduce carbon emissions, offer accessible and efficient delivery solutions for businesses, and enhance the overall customer experience.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Computer Vision Team Lead to become an integral part of our vibrant R&D team. In this role, you will be essential in crafting and executing advanced computer vision algorithms and systems that enable our delivery robots to navigate intricate urban settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and refinement of computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, tracking, and segmentation.
  • Create high-performance and scalable algorithms for computer vision and perception.
  • Evaluate team members' code to uphold the highest standards of code quality.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including robotics and cloud software groups, to establish requirements and deliver superior solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to a team of computer vision engineers.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning, applying this knowledge to enhance our technology stack.
  • Work closely with the robotic software team to integrate vision systems into our robots.
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of computer vision solutions in real-world applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Vision & Perception, Robotics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading computer vision initiatives and teams, with a robust portfolio of successful implementations.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in computer vision, machine learning, or a related area.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer vision algorithms, including object detection, tracking, segmentation, and SLAM.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, along with experience in relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning training on GPUs.
  • Experience with ROS is advantageous.
  • Experience in training multi-modal architectures is a plus.
  • Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
  • Experience with embedded systems, particularly in robotics or automotive contexts, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of inference engines and optimization techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
