Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team as a Complex Care Assistant. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support to individuals with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, and acquired brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in complex care areas.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in working with individuals with complex needs, including spinal injuries, bowel management, and administering medication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
