Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team as a Complex Care Assistant. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support to individuals with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, and acquired brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in complex care areas.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in working with individuals with complex needs, including spinal injuries, bowel management, and administering medication.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
