About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works.
  • Manage and deliver project works, including the management of sub-contractors, monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, and provision of direct instruction and support as necessary.
  • Ensure the successful completion of the overall project, leading by example in all aspects of the role, including quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
  • Manage site cleanliness and presentation, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, working safely, and stopping work if unsafe, and speaking up to address any safety concerns.
  • Manage internal and external design teams and consultants to meet project deadlines, under the supervision of a Contract Manager.
  • Produce and regularly review short-term programs in line with the overall project program, ensuring completion on time, under the supervision of a Contract Manager.
  • Ensure detailed plans are available, commensurate with the overall project plan, to deliver materials, resources, and supply chain to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Appreciate the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process, incorporating these into decision-making, working closely with the project Surveyor.
  • Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks, ensuring all additional work is identified.
  • Embrace learning and development opportunities, understanding and carrying out role-specific requirements of procedures, and helping to identify opportunities for improvement.
