Deputy Head Grounds Person

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Grounds Person to join our team at CBS Arena. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Grounds Person in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the stadium's professional playing pitch.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Head Grounds Person in planning, implementing, and evaluating the maintenance of the professional pitch and related work.
- Uphold ground standards by effectively managing all grounds activities to consistently achieve recognized standards and availability for the Club and stadium.
- Ensure health and safety by managing and checking facilities, plant, buildings, and equipment to ensure safe working practices and compliance to health and safety standards.
- Manage equipment, including maintenance, servicing, and storage.
- Assist in the renovation of hybrid and natural pitches using associated equipment.
- Analyze trend data and past usage to inform maintenance decisions.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in green keeping and groundsmanship or equivalent.
- Spraying certificates PA1, 2, and 6 (desirable).
- Experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including hybrid, artificial surfaces, and horticulture.
- Competent IT skills.
- Experience in managing pitch lighting systems and irrigation systems.
- Ability to manage teams, plan workloads, allocate duties, and monitor performance.
- Good mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to assist with routine maintenance.
