Job Title: Healthcare Assistant - Day Shifts

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Craigavon Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Job Summary:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort and happiness. You will also be involved in moving and getting patients around, monitoring their health signs, and providing emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with their daily needs, including personal care and hygiene
  • Help patients move and get around, ensuring their safety and confidence
  • Monitor patients' health signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Provide emotional support and be a friendly presence for patients
  • Encourage patients to participate in activities and hobbies to boost their mood and well-being
Requirements:
  • 6 months experience in a healthcare environment
  • Right to work in Northern Ireland
  • Valid inoculations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB)
