The role involves providing a range of accountancy services to a diverse clientele, primarily consisting of businesses that fall below the audit threshold. Typical services include financial statement preparation, management accounts, bookkeeping, taxation, VAT, CIS, and payroll.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in:
- Reviewing and preparing financial statements and tax returns.
- Managing general accountancy tasks for a varied client base, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Engaging with clients across different industries and turnover levels, from straightforward tax returns to more complex group structures.
This position offers genuine opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a growing firm.
Candidate Requirements- AAT qualification or progress towards ACCA/ACA, or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in an accountancy practice, with a proven track record in preparing financial statements and tax-related responsibilities.
- A desire for a challenging and rewarding long-term career at the Senior Accountant level within a dynamic and expanding firm.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Caseware, Xero, and Quickbooks is advantageous but not mandatory.
The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications. A competitive benefits package is also available.
