About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our Capital Maintenance Projects team and deliver innovative solutions to our operational sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of a large portfolio of capital projects, providing MEICA and Civil engineering construction solutions for wastewater, water production, waste and water network functions.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies and solutions to drive cultural change, business improvements, and increased productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, quality standards, contractual specifications, commercial objectives, and program deadlines.
  • Manage the procurement process, framework suppliers, and sub-contractor supply chain involved in the delivery of site-based construction activities.
  • Provide estimates, programming, and planning support to the wider team.
  • Deliver all construction projects on the program with 100% compliance to client specifications.
Requirements
  • Experience in a commercial and technical role, preferably educated to degree/HND level in engineering and/or business administration.
  • Understanding of basic civil engineering works, contract law, planning, estimating, and tendering.
  • Proven track record of project management in an engineering environment with a good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and ICA systems of work.
  • Management of the procurement process, framework suppliers, and sub-contractor supply chain involved in the delivery of site-based construction activities.
  • Responsibility for resource management and the training, development, and support of directly managed staff.
  • Estimating, programming, and planning support to the wider team.
  • Delivery of all construction projects on the program with 100% compliance to client specifications.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary up to £66,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 26 days annual leave per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
  • Car Allowance of £4,500 per annum.
  • Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
