About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research and Insights to join our team at Vanilla Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our research and insights function, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dynamic team of researchers and insights professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement research strategies that drive business growth, inform decision-making, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account directors, to ensure research targets are met and exceeded.
  • Manage client relationships, presenting research findings and insights to stakeholders, and developing pitches and proposals that wow.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of systems and processes that drive the agency forward, exploring new tools and methods to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Manage a generous budget to ensure the team has everything they need to excel, from training and software to the latest hardware.
Requirements
  • Proven career track record in research management, including extensive agency experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of sectors such as retail, hospitality, FMCG, and more.
  • Ability to present research findings and insights to clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on developing and growing a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
