Technical Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Technical Business Analyst to join our growing IT team in West Malling, Kent. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing business needs and developing technical solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, operational business analysts, developers, and test analysts to gather requirements and transform them into actionable technical design documents.
  • Review and understand user stories from the operations team and transform them into actionable technical design documents for the development team.
  • Identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes.
  • Liaise with the line manager, escalating any challenges with suggested resolutions.
  • Meet with key project members throughout the change control process.
  • Creation of documents such as project roadmaps, project plans, technical design documents, specifications, test scripts, procedure documentation, and system manuals.
  • Understanding requirements and design solutions to ensure acceptance criteria is met.
  • Out-of-hours implementation testing once a week, with out-of-hours time recorded and given back.
Requirements:
  • High competence in Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps or ClickUp would be beneficial.
  • Experience in SQL would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of C#, Classic ASP, Java would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage process would be beneficial.
  • Experience in a change control environment, including the creation of documents such as project roadmaps, technical design documents, specifications.
  • Understanding/experience of Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban methodologies.

You will be working for a leading mortgage broker and lender on a salary of £28,000-£30,000 on a permanent basis. Supported training will also be provided to help with your professional growth within the company, as well as a yearly salary review and a bonus scheme.
