Join Our Team as a Clinical Assessor

Merco Recruitment is seeking a skilled Clinical Assessor to work remotely from home on the DWP's Personal Independence Payment service. As a hybrid role, you will conduct paper-based reviews of claims, carry out independent health assessments, and write reports for the DWP.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge in a new way. You will be working with a friendly team environment, where you will have the chance to grow your medical knowledge and skills. The role requires at least one year's post-NMC/HCPC registration work experience working with people aged 16 to 64, good written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in IT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct paper-based reviews of claims and write reports for the DWP
  • Carry out independent health assessments using your critical reasoning skills and clinical expertise
  • Use your clinical knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional
