About the RoleAt Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Vehicle Electrician, you'll play a vital role in keeping people safe by working on the London Fire Brigade's vehicles.
As a Vehicle Electrician, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. You'll work with a range of equipment and tools to diagnose and repair faults, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Service and repair motor vehicles, including removal and refitting of components and accessories
- Diagnose faults and test vehicles using recognised test procedures and techniques
- Work in an efficient and productive manner, achieving targets set out with the workshop supervisory team
- Identify and report on defects and symptoms of impending failure
- Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently
- Level 3 - Auto-Electric Maintenance or equivalent qualification
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively
- Good diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and be proactive
