We are seeking skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 drivers to join our team at Pertemps Exeter.

  • Competitive hourly rate of £51
  • 8 hours pay guarantee per shift, with shift lengths up to 15 hours
  • 4 on, 2 off rota for a healthy work-life balance
  • Full training provided, including buddied up with another driver for the first week
About the Role

As an HGV Class 2 driver with Pertemps Exeter, you will be responsible for:

  • Collections and deliveries of fresh seafood and shellfish
  • Waiting in the harbour for fishing boats to arrive
  • Using pallet trucks to move pallets from the boat to the lorry
  • Heavy (25kg-40kg) loading / unloading required
  • Completing delivery / collection paperwork
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload cargo using manual handling equipment
  • Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals
Requirements
  • Valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and digital tacho
  • Comfortable with handballing and using manual handling equipment like pallet trucks
